Estate Argyros Assyrtiko

Dry white, PDO Santorini

Grape: Assyrtiko

Vinification: Classic white wine vinification, stainless steel tanks

Tasting notes: Clear, pale yellow color. Citrus and mineral flavors with bright, crisp acidity. Low grape yields give body, structure and complexity.

Food Pairing: Serve at 10-12oC, with a variety of seafood and grilled fish.


Estate Argyros

Dry White, PDO Santorini

Grape: Assyrtiko

Vinification: Classic white vinification, stainless steel tanks. 20% of wine aged in 500 litre French oak barrels for 6 months

Tasting Notes: Clear, pale yellow color with hints of green. Full-bodied wine with crisp acidity, great structure, intensity and complex aromas of lemon blossom and citrus fruits. Long mineral finish.

Food Pairing: Serve at 10-12oC, with a variety of seafood, grilled fish. Lamb with lemon sauce and white meats. Also compliments many traditional Santorini dishes such as fava, salads with capers and tomato fritters.



Argyros Atlantis White

Dry white, PGI Cyclades

Grapes: Assyrtiko, Athiri, Aidani

Vinification: Classic white wine vinification

Tasting notes: Clear pale-yellow color with citrus notes. Crisp acidity. Low grape yields give body, structure and complexity..Excellent value

Food Pairing: Serve at 10-12oC, with seafood and fish, simply cooked

 


Argyros Atlantis Red

Dry Red, PGI Cyclades

Grapes: 90% Mandilaria, 10% Mavrotragano

Vinification: Typical red wine vinification. Aged 6 months in French oak barrels

Tasting notes: Full bodied with fine tannins, complex aromas of red fruit, with hints of prune and leather. The mouth is well structured and balanced, with a velvety palate and long finish.

Food  Pairing: Serve at 18oC, with red meats, charcuterie, dishes with tomato and spicy sauces.


Argyros Vinsanto

Sweet White, PDO Santorini

Grapes: 80% Assyrtiko, 10% Aidani, 10% Athiri

Vinification: Grapes sun-dried 12-14 days. Aged in French oak barrels for 17 years and in bottle 3 years before release.

Tasting notes: Full bodied, excellent structure with great balance of sweetness and acidity. Copper-amber color with complex aromas of chocolate, honey, roasted coffee grains, dried fruits and nuts. Virtually, unlimited aging potential.

Food Pairing: Serve at 8 oC, with desserts of chocolate, as an aperitif or a digestive drink.

About the Winery:
Argyros Estate, founded in 1903 by George Argyros, was transformed by his grandson, Yiannis into one of the largest estates on Santorini, with vineyards totaling 30 hectares today. Now his son Mathew, the 4th generation of Argyros, has taken over management of the winery and continues the family’s long tradition in winemaking. Argyros Estate combines the ancient traditions of Santorini together with the latest in modern wine technology to produce some of the most highly awarded wines on the island. Their wines feature a wide variety of native grapes including, Assyrtiko, Athiri, Aidani, Mandilaria and Mavrotragano.
